Zack Villere First Headline Tour Hits Houston
Houston, Texas: Zack Villere is an eclectic artist from Louisiana who’s making waves in the DIY scene. He performed at Houston’s Satellite Bar in an intimate setting for his headline tour. Fans poured in to see the “Cool” artist who played previous works as well as new. Despite requests in the crowd to play, “Cool”, Villere insisted not to. His music can be described as alternative, with a touch of DIY, and at times a dash of hip hop and electronic. He injects his quirky persona into his music as well his oddball sense of humor. Crowd favorites were “Sore Throat”. Villere released the visual for “Sore Throat” which was stunning in terms of both and cinematography and production.
Villere continues to gain traction, garnering the attention of acts like Tyler the Creator, Rosalía, Kevin Abstract, Clairo, Kari Faux, and The Internet since his viral success. Noticeably, his music comes from a place that is different, covering topics like insecurity. He is no stranger to giving fans his inner thoughts, no matter how intrusive they may seem. Doing so, he meshes heavily synthesized vocals to wet sounding drum loops, and heavy electronic bass to create a sound that feels like a dream. This year’s tour being Zack Villere’s first headline tour, it’s a matter of time before he’s in your city. You can catch him on tour with Tennessee natives, and twin-duo, Mulherin.
