So What Music Festival Brings The Heat To Houston!
Didn’t make it to White Oak Music Hall this weekend? You surely missed an epic show for the year. The “So What” music festival was in town and they rocked the venue inside and out! With bands like Beartooth, Crown the Empire, and Of Mice & Men, Third String Productions made a night to remember. Saturday, April the 27th, with the sun at its highest and the crowd at its fiercest, White Oak Music Hall was anything but quiet.
Being the first time that this specific festival made its stop in Houston, the scene was full of all ages; from the little rocker babies to the screaming metal-head elders. Stages were covered from both sides of screaming, moshing, jumping fans experiencing the craziest show since the last Warped Tour in July of 2018. From the inside on the “Stay Sick” stage, some of our favorite local bands like Apothica, An Author A Poet, even The Blood Between Us came to the scene. The crowds showed so much love, especially for our locals, they just couldn’t get enough.
With the clip above, An Author A Poet, has created a mosh pit of their own and the crowd loved it.
Outside on the “Main Stage”, the national bands made appearances. Sylar, Erra, Speech Patterns, and Hands like Houses were just a few. If there was a spot on the ground vacant it soon became filled with fans from all over. Here’s a picture of Sunday, at the fest.
As you can tell, it was a reckless adventure of fun, music, and all around good vibes. “So What” either made its mark on Houston, or Houston made its mark on “So What”, only time will tell. Cant wait for new announcements on this festival making its way back.
Didn’t get a chance to stop by? There is the Rockstar Disrupt Festival at Cynthia Woods on June the 23rd and the “Sad Summer Fest” right here at WOMH again in July.
