This weekend, Houston’s rock scene was left more than satisfied as 6 bands took the stages @ScoutBar on Friday night. Starting off the show was An Author A Poet, a small town band from Galveston, whose sound sends you into a melodic sleep. Tempting Fate took the stage aggressively waking you out of that sleep and throwing you straight into a mosh pit. The band Currents and Oceans Ate Alaska kept the movements and good vibes going as the show continued. The bar was packed from wall to wall not a standing still person in the house.
Experiencing four bands was quite the night already but the end was nowhere near. Coming to the stage was The Plot In You. A band out of Ohio , that showed Houston what Metal sounds like. Scout Bar could be heard all the way to NASA Pkwy. With their new album “Dispose” released not too long ago, the crowd didn’t skip a beat or in this case a line. From the mosh pits to throwing the power fist, The Plot in You was surely a great warm up to the night’s Headliners.
The “Cold Like War” Tour has been satisfying crowds all over the country, and still have many more to please. We came As Romans was more that exhilarating, intoxicating, and energized. They brought a required feeling that too many young rockers were longing for. The talent these guys have are far beyond remarkable and impressive. As the band played every note, and screamed every sound, the crowd opened up and out submerged a battle cry. This show was so fulfilling that a pedestrian outside even noted that the crowd outside was even jamming. March 23rd is one for the books at Scout Bar! We Came As Romans has left us a memory that will live forever!
