Enter the “Crying Room”, a safe space free of judgment or fear. That is exactly where Houston artist, TOMYRIIZ takes listeners on her new EP. Alongside her many trades which include spoken word poetry and modeling , to name a few, this creative and driven woman showcases her musical abilities on her first released music project.

As you listen, you will soon begin to realize that you are entering into TOMYRIIZ’s sanctuary, you’re entering into her “crying room”; an intimate space where every spoken word is ripped right from the diary of her heart, reverberating wall to wall.

Listening to the first track, “INTRO (A Letter To My Lover)”, the mood of the EP is set as one may feel as if they have just stumbled into a room where a young woman is praying alone, lamenting over a lost love. “I was going through a lot of emotional turbulence, healing from a toxic relationship” TOMYRIIZ tells New Houston Music Outlet when asked about the inspiration behind her EP. ” I practically locked myself in my room for the past month. But it was also a healing thing for me for sure, I feel reborn.” The Houston artist explained how the process of creating her new project was just as much about healing herself as it was about the music.

The seven-tracked EP engineered by RIQUE and VIVAS is a smooth, sultry production that is compelling and has replay value. Tomy’s vocals are rich with emotion and sincerity, backed with mellow instrumentals that make it easy to really groove with EP from start to finish.
