Princess Nokia Issues A Statement With Her New Visual for ‘G.O.A.T’
That’s right boys and girls, Princess Nokia is at it again with a new visual for her song, “G.O.A.T”. The New York aficionado, fashionista, social activist, and shape shifter has made yet another wave with her new release in light of recent announcements that she will be signing with Rough Trade Records.
The release couldn’t have come sooner for fans as it is a great summer song; Princess Nokia has come sun-ready with a sizzling, red slingshot to match. Sporting her hometown baseball cap and stylish McDonald’s jacket, she doesn’t hesitate to tell listeners who she feels the “G.O.A.T”(greatest of all time) is. We can’t help but be excited about Frasqueri’s respect for the South on this one as she sports a gold grill and gives Gangsta Boo and La Chat shout-outs. The new video is a stark reminder of the 25-year-old artist’s knack for dishing out colorful, captivating, landscapes on-screen. This can be appreciated in visuals like the pivotal “BRUJAS” and “Kitana” which were both visually and conceptually compelling. Princess Nokia is now on tour throughout Europe, as well as touching many festivals and shows like Afropunk, Pitchfork Music Festival, and more.
