Friday, April 15th, 2016: Optimistic Reality and DBS Productions held the “Black Tie Affair” featuring a full fashion show, live musical performances, and a full art exhibit. Creatives from all artistic backgrounds converged on the this one spot for a night of networking and showcasing their handcrafted talents. The exclusive event was a pleasantly packed soiree with some celebrity appearances and varying fashion pieces, colored canvases, and tastes.

Vincent Powell was in the building along with dope fashion showcases by designers Yves Dre, Lavish Pyramid Clothing, Nikki LeaRobert Powell DesignsJamiLisBeautiful, and Skytrues.

The event also featured music performances from some budding Houston acts, including those of artist previously featured on our website; 90s baby Apollo and aggressive cloud rapper, Paris Le Rouge. Also featured in the performance spotlight; Dkeela, B$tacks from Baton Rouge and the songstress, Natalia Roxanne.

The Black Tie Affair was a nice congregation of Houston creatives, showing a very unique facet of this city. What we saw here at this event was a nice exhibition of primarily Houston creators and those who respect the arts. The event was all-encompassing, spotlighting some really great stuff going for our city in each different artistic industry. So many good artists were present, not all have been named, but a shout out to everyone who attended.

According to the event curator, Tyler Fewox, more of these events are in the works. Stay tuned.

Video coverage and exclusive interviews of the event will air on our television show, ‘The New Houston Music Outlet’ airing this May.
