Pharo Saki- A Pimp’s Blues // Give it A Shot
Houston native, Pharo Saki takes a jazzy/smooth approach to a more conscious instrumental produced by Pattyperk. Come to find that Saki’s lyrical stances just don’t stand in means of doing narcotics and chilling with his AMG bros, by taking this approach on this track he has truly established a humble/gentlemanly sound while storytelling. To add to the genuine sound the track transitions into a lyrical stance by AMGs very own Bishop Guru not necessarily attacking the same conscious instrumental but applying his witty and cunning word play and use of similes, metaphors and other literal devices in the English language to get his message across. Now with this transition the listener was looking for Saki but not expecting Bishop to come in and set the tone. Both artists have truly set their names in stone with this track.

With the introduction to the instrumental you can hear that this track is about to be a conscious emotion filled stanza, for those who are deeply in tune with up and coming artist you would realize that Bishop Guru (AMG Artist & producer) sampled Mick Jenkins “Jazz” in order to create this track. Saki comes in with this versatile sound where he starts off really humble and a bit emotional speaking on his brother Omar (who is deceased, may God bless his soul) which really begins to add the fuel to the flame of his lyrical edge which then leads into him getting a bit louder and change his tone and how he delivers his bars somewhat reminding you not to get shit fucked up even though he might be rhyming over a subtle instrumental. Then Bishop Guru comes in and compliments Saki with his poetic ignorance as he did in their collaborative effort on a Pimps Blues/take a shot but instead of transitioning into the next verse it was one whole lyrical effort. These two AMG brothers compliment each other’s style somewhat like the young Kobe and Shaq of underground Houston rap, to have them on any track together is nothing short of a miracle. You should look forward to many more stances by the detrimental duo of AMG, while you are looking into these artist you might want to search AMG and their affiliates: Justin Ali Black, DemoKream, Young Wave, Scottie Benzo, Phonzie, and J. Redix.
It’s going to be a great year for the New Houston Wave.
